4th Gen Heartgold and Soulsilver pokewalker

Hey, i jsut got Pokemon SoulSilver, and i was wondering,Do you have to be playing the game for the pokewalker to work, or can you just leave your game at home, and walk to the mall with your pokewalker ( or something along those lines) Like, does it have to be CONSTANTLY connected to your game to work?

I'm sure you can walk around with it and not worry about having the DS with you.

Yeah, i just read the instructions manual and it said that it had to be used together with the game and the DS so i didnt know if they ment that you have to walk with the DS, or if its only compatable with the DS.

No, you can leave your DS anywhere and they Pokewalker will still work. The connection the manual was referring to is how to transport Pokemon. It would've been better to use the Help Thread for this though. :/

You can leave it at home. The manual most likely meant that it's only compatible with a DS.
