While you may haven't played any of the DS games, you're still welcomed here. We have a lot types of Pokemon fans here. There's people who've played all the games and there's people who only play the older games. There's some of love the new one and some who like only gen I and II. There's even people who haven't touched a Pokemon game in years, but they're still big fans. We have boards that cover all those types of fans so I'm sure you can find ones you'll love to post in. There's also many non Pokemon off-topic boards too as well so you can even finds sections for other interest you may have. If you haven't played any of the DS games, I think you might like alot of boards in the
General Pokemon Gaming Discussions as it's cover all Pokemon games from Generations 1 to 4.
It's cool that you're getting back into Pokemon again though. Pokemon X and Y look like they're gonna be amazing games and it's the same reason I'm getting a 3DS too. :) Which starter do you plan on getting? I'm thinking of picking Fennekin myself. It's has my favorite design of the three and it's cute! I've always picked the Grass type starters, so this could be a first for me. Though Chespin's also really cute too, so I'll be having a hard time deciding in October! I think you should also look around in
Pokemon X and Y if you want to talk about the games and speculate ahead of time before October.
Things probably have definitely changed since you were last here. In particular, there's been new rules added and old ones removed or altered. I do advise you to go over the
rules again to see what's changed since then. And if you have any questions just ask a
moderator and since they're nice, they'll help you.
