I am new here, so pardon me if my requests/ideas belong some place else, but this says it's the place for new people to say hi, so I'm going to do that too.
I first started playing Pokémon in the late 90s, first with the cards, then with the Gameboy cartridges. I never did get past Gen II, mostly because my earliest days of "hacking" involved a Game Genie, and that didn't work with the Gen III cartridges. Now I do own a GBA SP, but no Game Shark. I did recently get a GBC flash cart though, and have taken to playing roms through it. I like to keep things simple though. I'm not the kind that is looking for new side quests or new trainers to beat. I feel the games are big enough as is. Still, there are some minor tweaks I would like to see. The main one I am looking for at the moment is a way to play as a blue (gender isn't as important as color, as I'll explain in a bit) character in Silver. I found a hack that lets you play as Kris in Gold, but it doesn't work for Silver. You see, my eyes are sensitive to certain colors, and the longer I stare at something, the more my eyes start to hurt. Red causes the fastest burnout, while blue causes the slowest. In Gen I, the character changed with the area, so burnout happened mainly on Cinnabar or in certain caves. In Gen II though, I had a red dot on my screen at all times, until I discovered Crystal. That was a relief. Does anyone know of a rom hack that turns the player blue in Silver?
