Anyways, welcome to PC! We have some great forums for you to explore, especially ones dealing with making and playing hacks. Though you should explore the whole sight, because it's a lot of fun!
One of my first Pokemon games was Silver and Gold that I got from my older brothers, and I have the same problem T-T Poor little internal batteries... Luckily I have a friend that is willing to replace the battery for one of my games, though I don't mind because I just love the fact of just owning them!

I was here because of Pokemon hacks too. I think you could check Emulation & ROM Hacking section. Pokemon Gold, yes? It's one of the games I've seen before I owned any Pokemon game btw, I think you'll like to discuss it in Metal and Color Generation Games! Hey there Hidden. Welcome to PC. Isn't she beautiful PC is home to Pokémon lovers from all around the globe and across the seas.
I myself (call me Diab) love to play on roms and love to play hacks as well they give the world of Pokémon a different view, a view from Pokemon fans which really spice up the game in a way. Its been a while since I played on a rom since I had a very rough past months but dude if you make one I am more that happy to try it out and give you an honest review when I have the time.
