    Hey all. i'm setting up a team in pokemon ruby, but i have no idea what pokemon should go in it... The only pokemon that has to be there is kabutops.
    But idk who the rest should be... can someone give me ideas of which pokemon and there moves to use.
     
    Err... really I doubt if we can make the entire team for you, or else then we'll be the one playing, not you. Perhaps try to make a team, and we'll fix/comment on it and guide you along the way ^_^
     
    but that's the problem. i don't know what the other pkmn should be. and that's what i'm asking, What should the other pkmn be? i guess i'm asking for opinions from every1 else on what the best team would be made of...
     
    best team = doesn't exist

    it's the process of striving to achieve the impossible that makes Pokemon fun ^_^
    Every person's idea best team is different... really we can't help you on this one (or else it'll be us making the teams for you to just carry out, which means that you aren't really playing)
     
    i get what ure sayin, but the game gets too easy after beating it an insane amount of time, you know? i'm just tryin to find ways to make it even more fun. so i know what u mean by " the best team" not existing, so i was askin opinions.:P
     
    It doesn't really matter what the best team for ingame play is, a trainer in the battle tower will have a hard time beating even a level 100 Linoone let alone an entire team. And the best team would probably be 6 Mewtwos or..maybe that new DeoxysF...but that wouldn't be fair would it?

    Just tell us what team you have right now.
     
    what's the new deoxysF? i only know about deoxys :P

    rock slide
    substitute
    hydro pump
    and rain dance

    Tyranitar
    crunch
    earthquake
    sandstorm
    thrash

    Gardevoir
    calm mind
    psychic
    imprison

    I don't know for Kabutops. I don't know anything about R/B/Y Pokemon.

    Why give Tyranitar Sandstorm? It's ability already gives it auto SS. This is what I used for my Tyranitar.

    Calm Mind

    Will-o-Wisp
    HP Ice

    This is my friend's Gardevior (not sure about the EVs on it). Calm Mind raises it's Sp.Atk/Def, and Psychic gets STAB. Wisp to burn and lower attack and HP Ice just to deal with anything Psychic can't. It works for him agaisnt my other friends but I always end up killing it with my Kyogre which is my team starter, doesn't mean it's bad though. I think.

    I'm not good with teams so you might want to listen to Frosty instead...

    ok i am only 3 days new to this forum... i'm curious, what's HP ice, HPfire, etc... meen?
     
    HP (Type)=Hidden Power

    Each pokemon's effect for Hidden Power varies depending on it's IV/DV stats which are automatically given to it upon catching it, hatching it, etc. They cannot be changed. IV?DV stats can be from between 0-31, and their are 5 (or 6?) for each stat a Pokemon has and each point adds another point to that stat. So a value of 28 IV/DV for Atk adds 28 additional points to the Attack stat of that Pokemon.

    Yeah it is. But for those of us who use NetBattle or Pokemon Calculators/Makers with our cheating devices it's no problem for us since we can choose it.
     
    ok, i have a calculator, so what r the numers for HP ice for gardevoir on it?
     
    This is getting very off topic.

    I use 31 for all except for Speed which is 30. That should give Ice.
     
    In my opinion the best team is shiny Celebi,DeoxysFR,Shiny Groudon,Jirachi(shiny),Kyogre,And Pidgeot.
     
    ok that takes care of gardevoir... now i need to figure out my next three party pokemon... i was thinking of a hazer beeing a dragon or something...

    ok i'm confused now. if you keep saying deoxysf and stuff. does that mean we can get them? (sorry for double posting)

    I doubt Jirachi even has Deoxys-FR. You can't get Deoxys, Deoxys-FR, or Deoxys-LG in R/S, not without cheating anyway. There are rumors to get them in R/S, but none have been true. You won't be able to get any of those until FR/LG comes out.

    A hazing Dragon? I don't know of any...I know of anti-hazing dragons, but not hazing dragons.

    And why are you still asking for a team? I thought Frosty already wrote about a page on your Elite Four killing team in your other thread.
     
    uhuh...i think i understand bout deoxys a bit more. and about the team... well... i know frosty did but i like finding a team that ppl can't tear apart too well :P
