    Yes, I know this sucks, but I'm a newbie to Player v Player battling.

    Anyway, here's my current squad for NetBattle. Any help would be appreciated.

    Umbreon @ Leftovers
    Nature: - Attack, + Sp Def.
    EV: Def, Sp Def max, 6 in HP.
    Baton Pass
    Snatch
    Moonlight
    Substitute

    Staller/Baton Passer, and prevents the opponent bulking up as well. I usually lead off with Umbreon

    Jynx @ Lum Berry
    Nature: + Sp Attack, - Attack
    EV: Sp Attack, Sp Def max.
    Ice Beam
    Psychic
    Water Spout
    Brick Break

    Water Spout and BB are there to deal with any Fire or Dark types. Special Sweeper.

    Rapidash @ no item
    Nature: +Sp Attack, - Attack
    EV: Sp Attack, Sp Def max.
    Flamethrower
    Sunny Day
    Solarbeam
    Quick Attack

    Cos every team needs an anti-Skarm. QA for Reversal/Flail abusers.

    Ursaring @ no item
    EV: Attack, Defence max
    Nature: +Def, - Sp Attack
    Focus Punch
    Substitute
    Roar
    Toxic

    Sub-Puncher/Pseudohazer.

    Hitmontop @ no item
    EV: Attack, Defence max
    Nature: +Attack, -Sp Attack
    Thief
    Bulk Up
    Mach Punch
    Rapid Spin

    Rapid Spin for anti-Spikes. Pretty useless otherwise.

    Mantine @ Quick Claw
    Nature: No modifiers
    EV: Speed on 200, max Sp Attack, the rest on Sp Def.
    Aerial Ace
    Earthquake
    Surf
    Rain Dance

    Yeah, I know now that Mantine's physical attack sucks. I'll replace Mantine with a better Water type soon. Might use Quagsire or another Water/Ground type instead.

    EDIT: I replaced Mantine with a Whiscash.
    Whiscash @ Quick Claw
    Nature: No modifiers
    EV: Max Sp Attack, 129 in Def and Sp Def
    Double Team
    Earthquake
    Surf
    Ice Beam

    Double Team is a filler, might replace for something different.

    Anyway, that's my team, as it stands. I know there's a lot to be improved, so fire away people :-)

    Umbreon- err... cannot attack whatsoever... that's kinda bad? If you're against a Pokemon who doesn't buff up, you're so messed... plus HP EV is very important... high defense is useless without HP. I'll say you should consider reworking the EVs.

    Jynx- illegal moveset of water spout >>:

    Jynx- [sp.atk or speed + / atk -] @ lum berry
    EV: sp.atk, speed
    -lovely kiss
    -psychic/HP Special
    -ice beam/HP Special
    -calm mind/HP Special

    Jynx with a physical attack is a sin... never never do that. And really no fire types can possibly hurt Jynx besides Charizard who's tie in speed which maybe risky, and Houndoom who'll always screw you over unless you got HP Water.

    Rapidash- well Skarmory alone is easy to take down... Blissey together is a pain but still possible. It's just Skarmbliss together that's near impossible to kill >>;

    Rapidash- [sp.atk or speed + / atk -] @ leftovers/lum berry
    EV: Speed and sp.atk
    -(keep moveset)

    Rapidash has so awesome stats! Sadly, its movepool is worst than Kingdra... only better than Wobbuffet.

    Ursaring- hehe... a sweet set for ya

    Ursaring (leaf off)- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ silk scarf
    EV: atk, hp, def
    -facade
    -earthquake
    -swords dance
    -brick break

    Pray to dear Pokegods that you get toxiced or thunderwaved as you use one swords dance. Now facade away! Guts and swords dance together will make you a monster, that just a brick break will most likely OHKO Skarmory (or come darn close to doing so). With insane hp at your disposal, Ursaring is one of the most underrated (well relatively compare to other OUs as it really should be an OU but it's only BL) physical tank out there.

    Hitmontop- highest defense out of all fighting types... and one of the rare rapid spinner out there. Err really there's plenty of junk you can do with Hitmontop, just that it's hard to decide on what o.o; either toxic stalling or physical attacker will work.

    Hitmontop- [atk, def or sp.def + / atk -] @ leftovers
    EV: Hp, atk, def, and/or sp.def
    -rapid spin/protect
    -mach punch
    -triple kick/revenge/earthquake/toxic
    -HP Ghost

    Whiscash- the Pokemon who got the same stat distribution of Lanturn (or relatively close)... completely overshadowed by Swampert for understandable reasons.

    Whiscash- [sp.atk or atk + / the other atk -] @ chesto berry
    EV: HP, atk or sp.atk, def/sp.def
    -earthquake
    -rest
    -surf
    -rock slide/ice beam

    Feel free to throw in amnesia somewhere...

    It's meant to be Water Pulse, not Water Spout on Jynx. I typed the wrong move down.

    Anyway, I'll try that, thanks

    the only thing i have to say is snatch+bp=hard to pull off - u don't even no if they will use a stat building move u can use. o well, to each his own individuality.

    I do have some limited success using Snatch + Baton Pass. Mostly people who are too stupid to read, or just don't mind me boosting up instead of them. I have logs of those battles, too, if you feel like reading them :-p

    I'm losing about as much as I'm winning, but I'm holding my own. Wouldn't expect anything better from a UU team anyway

    Umbreon is VERY FAR away from UU or even BL O.o;; And to me Ursaring really got the stats and moves to move up to OU... just that Snorlax overshadows everyone else O.o;

    Jynx is the OU of the BLs with lovely kiss, and it's I believe along with the 4th fastest if you take out all legendaries and OUs.

    Hope you're doing well with your UU team though... I only got 52% win on mine ^^;

    I've found a few things battling with this team

    1 - Ursaring can OHKO a Snorlax using one Swords Dance, then using Brick Break. And of course, is faster than Snorlax too. Thankfully, I've met no Curselax yet, but it'll probably happen soon...
    2 - Jynx is a very nice special sweeper. (I knew that already, using one back on Blue/Red, but I like to re-emphasise). Houndoom still gives her trouble (but I have taken one down using Lovely Kiss + CM + Ice Beam.)
    3 - Whiscash is a decent damage sponge. While it's not on the Blissey level of tankage, it can hold it's own, and with Chesto-Rest make for a nice damage sponge.

    1. Lol Curselax is RARE... it's extinct... The snorlax you should be worring about is Subpunching Snorlax. It subs when you dance up, and you break the sub and he OHKOs you. See I told you that Ursaring should be OU! ^^

    2. Jynx beating Houndoom...? IMPOSSIBLE! O.O;
    How the heck does it allow you to get that much time to CM up that many times in order for ice beam (which is not very effective against the dog) to kill off Houndoom? O.o; nuts. Plus I can never think of any good items to put on a Houndoom besides lum berry... OR White herb. Guess he went overheat+herb instead of lum.

    3. the problem with Whiscash is that it got no way to counterattack. Blissey can toss you around, but Whiscash can't use seismic toss (whew). Plus I always suck at balancing defense vs HP EVs o.o;

    Also how's Hitmontop doing? Awhile ago there was a great fad of using one but I never got to battle one...

    Hitmontop isn't doing too bad. HP Ghost is useful, but he gets owned by faster Psychic and Ghost types. Alakazams = dead Hitmontop. Apart from that, Mach Punch is a good alternative to Rapidash's QA. Doesn't do bad at Rapid Spin either, I never realised RS gets rid of Leech Seed as well...

    lol... Alakazam is quite easily defeated... Whiscash should be able to defeat Alakazam no problem You just need to survive the first psychic, and then you'll win. It's either Alakazam getting OHKOed, or Alakazam OHKOs you.

    Yes rapid spin is very useful... it's quite recommanded to have on many teams. I should try to fit in on my Donphan but really don't know what to take out O.o;
