    Hey,

I've recently decided to give ROM hacking a try. I'm hacking the first generation games for the giggles, and a lot of the tutorials and guides are for Generation III games. For instance, I want to fix the problem with Psychic types in the game. I've managed to set Ghost as super effective against Psychic, instead of ineffective in the original ROM. I've also made the Gastly line pure Ghost, instead of Ghost/Poison. This eliminates the weakness to Psychic types. However, it's my understanding that setting Ghost to be super effective against Psychic would require relocating the type effectiveness data to a new location, and repointing to that new location. I've tried this, but all I've managed to do is set all attacks against all types as neutral. For whatever reason, I don't seem to able to repoint to the new data.

Any guides/tutorials/help with repointing? Also, some guide for adding new types and moves to the first generation games via HEX Editor would be nice.
