Hidden power is listed as a special attack.

Does that mean that even if my hidden power is a normal or fighting type move, it will be a special attack?

It will always be special. There is no Hidden Power: Normal, by the way.

DP, duh. Hidden Power is only special in DP.

Hidden Power is never physical.
