    It's a little annoying seeing people argue over and blatantly misinterpret pixel art terminology. I think it would make things a lot more convenient if 'The Home of the Sprites' was given a broader name that made it clearly open to pixel art in general, and not just sprites. I've seen a lot of non-sprite pixel art get posted in the Home of the Sprites forum and no one says anything, but as soon as it's labeled 'pixel art' and not 'sprite' or 'fusion' or 'recolor', it gets deemed unworthy of being in the sprites forum. Plus, I'd like to see people actually post entries in the November Pixel art contest, I don't want to see a big argument over what's pixel art and what isn't.

    I also think it'd be cool to see the Sprite comic forum be clearly open to comics in general, but obviously this isn't nearly as imperative right now.

    As for the spriting, in a way I think it's all in the same group. The people who happen to do this must have nothing more to do with their time =/ it usta happen alot with the art forum when it was just drawings in general but when Beadwork is placed it's considered againced the rules ^^ I'm a good bead artists and I purposly dont place that kind of stuff due to such comments, it's clearly a okay idea. but the real sprite makers know pixel and sprite are the same thing, it's just when it's bluntly colored as large images.

    All in all "sprite" meens a active object or a piece in a screen thing. So you make pokemon and objects. And as long as they are just images and not moving or of any importants in a game. It's backround or Pixel art. Yet if active in a game thats the only time to call it a sprite. And in this case I think the name is fine for now. ^^; Just my opinion.

    Mwar, I agree. Personally I don't see why people even section off sprites, all they are, at least to me 'cause I'm weird, is a smaller version of "standard" digital art that has a more specific application. It's all pixels in the end ^^;

    Hey that just gave me a idea, many poeple call digital art photography but it's not o.o I am a digital artists but I STINK at photographsXD.

    Maybe it could changed from the sprite area to the Digital art area? It may open up more wide veriety, but at the same time the art forum will become more natural and treditional art?

    I'll think about that more o_O in a way if worked out just right the art forum can be kind of a Deviant for PC... like... like the Admeration Forum? hm...
