So yeah, seeing as how everyone else is posting rating threads I figured I might as well contribute one of my own. This is a deck for Spirit Caller, meaning that the only Dark World card around is Dark World Lightning and the banlist is September 2006. My basic plan here is to assemble a three-card combo of Drop Off, Aswan Appartition, and Archfiend's Oath, meaning that I use the first to deny my opponent's draw, the second to put the first back in my deck, and the third to bring the first back for another go without having to wait a turn. When this pans out right this translates into my opponent having to discard each card they draw. Of course Aswan Appartition has all the defensive capabilities of Frog the Jam, so the rest of the deck is basically bent on creating an opening for the final lock. Oh, and Magical Hats is there so I can dump Drop Off and another trap of my choice for retrieval with mask or appartition (Coolest when Mask is face up since it doubles up in a Book of Moonish capacity). Crush Card is there to help weed out my opponent's monsters and Feather because it has some nice synergy with Archfiend's Oath, and Solemn Wishes to compensate for Oath's effect cost; the rest should be pretty self-explanatory.

    Monsters (19)
    1x Asura Priest
    3x Aswan Appartition
    1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
    3x Cyber Dragon
    1x Don Zaloog
    1x Magician of Faith
    2x Mask of Darkness
    3x Mystic Tomato
    1x Sangan
    1x Spirit Reaper
    2x Zaborg the Thunder Monarch

    Spells (13)
2x A Feather of the Phoenix
    3x Archfiend's Oath
    1x Confiscation
    1x Convulsion of Nature
    1x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Nobleman of Crossout
    1x Premature Burial
    1x Graceful Charity
    1x Heavy Storm
    2x Smashing Ground
    1x Swords of Revealing Light

    Traps (10)
    1x Call of the Haunted
    1x Crush Card Virus
    3x Drop off
    2x Magical Hats
    1x Mirror Force
    1x Ring of Destruction
    2x Solemn Wishes
    1x Torrential Tribute

So yeah...a little help, please? I just know this one is full of holes. xD

EDITNESS: Now with super special awesome corrections. :3

    -2 Solemn Wishes
    -2 Feather of the Phoenix

This deck already got a lot of dead cards. The combo completely fails unless Aswan Apparition with its pitiful 500 attack can start getting direct attacks in. Therefore, the deck should also gear itself to clearing the field. Solemn Wishes may seem to cover the cost, but it's just too much of a dead draw. Also, we're still in the era of triple decree, so we really don't want more traps than we already have. As much as Feather of the Phoenix seems to be in great synergy, I think that I'll opt to take it out because we got nothing good to discard with. Magical Hats already do a lot of trap reclamation and there's really nothing but the staples that we want to get back in spells. The only monster is maybe Cyber Dragon and Breaker. Nothing else is really that strong. (we already got 2 recursion too)

    +1 Nobleman of Crossout
+3 Hydroggedon or 2 Zaborg + 1 Convulsion of Nature

The point of a lock is to build up resources and just end the game. The lock itself doesn't do damage, especially this one. It's only doing 500 damage and you pay 500 LP every time. Nobleman of Crossout helps to eliminate facedown that smashing ground cannot do. Also, it's really sad that there's only 4 cards that can handle monsters with 1500 attack, or other recruiters (ok Tomato can suicide, but that's just seeing who runs out of recruiters first). Hydroggedon can really abuse Crush Card Virus, and also adds speed to the deck of special summoning so you get the combo faster.

On the other hand, with that many tribute fodder, zaborg is not a bad choice to clear the field and also adds more firepower, especially against Spy and the likes of those. I'm pretty sure Zaborg should be included here since it's back from the time of agents. Convulsion of Nature turns your deck upside down, so with Archfiend's Oath you will definitely get your extra draw even before the setup, speeding up the deck. I like Convulsion of Nature far more than Feather of the Phoenix in terms of abusing Archfiend's Oath.

Heh, yeah...I figured that I was sort of pushing it with Solemn, but it looked so nice on paper, same for feather. Aaaand...I totally forgot about Convulsion. xP *Smacks self* Mmmhmm, I think I'll go for option number two since I like using the more obscure cards, so I guess that's a change of:

-2 A Feather of the Phoenix
    -2 Solemn Wishes

    +1 Nobleman of Crossout
+ 2 Zaborg the Thunder Monarch
    + 1 Convulsion of Nature

As much as I hate how generic monarchs are, I do see your point here. Guess it's off to hunting ship packs for me. (Because obviously that had to be the place where they stuck Nobleman, Torrential, Don Zaloog, Call of the Haunted and Breaker <.<) Oh, and I have to level like there's no tomorrow to get to that damn Cyber Dragon pack. Ah well, it's all for a greater good. Thanks for the advice. ^.^
