how com you can't run from a trainer battle?

I battle every trainer I see and always have a ton of items with me. D; I want and need the exp. points, so I have no objections.

I personally do the same and keep my Medical supplies stocked, however if I find that for some reason I lose a battle -- I take it as a learning experience; Be better and much more well prepared.

We really need a forfeit option. It could replace "run" in trainer battles. I wouldn't mind being sent back to the PC and paying money, but I just don't want to sit through a battle watching the weak Pokemon I'm training get annihilated.

If we were to be able to run, we would be cowards, and the whole storyline of the game would be pointless. Not to mention how the challenge would go down.

If you could run from ever trainer battle that came across, plus every wild Pokemon, where in the world would be the fun in that? Besides, your Pokemon would probably never even grow that way, because running from trainer battles will eventually make us lazy.
