Just go to the upstairs of the pokemon center, to the receptionists and click "colloseum battle" then your game uses it's local wireless connection and you can battle with someone near you

I think he means he wants to battle someone here via Wi-Fi.
In order for people to battle on Wi-Fi both people need to swap Friend Codes. You can find your Friend Code by going into your Bag -> Key Items -> Pal Pad - > The last option will have "your name's CODE" (only "your name" will be whatever your name is in the game). Look at this to see your Friend Code and give this to the person you wanna battle. When the other person gives you their Friend Code you need to enter it by going to "REGISTER FRIEND CODE". You will be asked to enter your friend's name and then their code.
Once you're all registered you just have to go to the Pokemon Center (I think it's downstairs... haven't done it for a while). Talk to the people there and you'll figure it out.

yah, tried it on my friends Diamond version and it says you need to enter Fc or something and we just said, "Stuff this piece of ****." But now I wanna trade, sadly, all the Pkmn i wanna trade are on my emerald, and i'm still at the very start of Pearl, the bit where you in your house, lol. too much Pkmn emerald. it seems ppl will have to wait a week for their pkmn. i hv camp next week. i wanna get wifi. can you do wifi with cable adsl or do you need wireless router. i have one but it's a bit stuffed up.
