[Script] How do I know where there's enough space for an add-on?

So I'm reading through the Complete Fire Red Upgrade documentation and it provides a list of relevant/recommended add-ons for your ROM that aren't included in the base CFRU. All of them mention in some capacity how to specify the offset for where you want the code inserted--how do I know where there's enough space for a given addition such that it won't overwrite another add-on if I am adding multiple add-ons to my ROM? For example, the first two recommended additions are Dynamic Pokemon Expansion and Overworld Form Change--how do I make sure that Overworld Form Change doesn't overwrite the Dynamic Pokemon Expansion code when I apply them both to the same ROM?
