You input FCs into your Pal Pad and have the people you wanna battle/trade with do the same and you talk to the lady in the ugly dress on the basement floor in Pokemon centers...

Get the first gym badge
Go into the bottom of the pokemon center
talk to the woman on the far right
She'll give you something called the pal-pad, a key item. Use it to register other people's friend codes. It also contains your code.

You also need to set up the connection. On the main menu (Continue, new game ect) click on wifi settings and set up a link with your wifi.

Now you can trade via gts or wifi
GTS:
*Go to the building in jubilife
*Talk to the woman at the desk and go in
*Either put your own poke in or search for others

Regular wifi:
*Contact your trade partner
*Obtain their friend code and give them yours using the pal-pad
*Go into the pkmn center basement and go into wifi
*Select trade as your option, or acceot your friends invite to trade

But i dont have any friends who have this game and i want to trade pokemon... ?

You do it over people with sites like this then dont you? There's hundreds of people on here, you;ll end up meeting people to trade.

Ok so after i add some1 do they have to add me to so i can trade? Then what? and how do i trade online?

I explained it all in my first post. You go into the basement of the pkmn center and talk to the 1st or second woman. It will then show which of your registered friends are online, and what they are doing. You can then invite them to trade or accept their invites.

I would but my wifi has crashed, damn hackers screwed my comp up lol. If i get wifi back i may be able to trade you a shiny i have spare :)
