So I am slowly learning about trainer's and such now, My first attempt was when the player choose

    his/her pokemon in will enable

Control Switches: [0139: Buddyorrival] = on "Ik weird name"

so then when it's on when the player walks on side he comes and well you know battle and such
But here is the problem i am having

First. When the player walks out he turns in the door way and cant make it out.

Second. When you beat him he run's away but he dose not disappear

Third.More like a question on how i would do this.

So my game isint normal The proffesor aske's you a bunch of question's like what gen you like and

the type of pokemon you like ect ect. So how would i make it. For example

lets say Charmander is 1 how would i make Squirtle be his Pokemon witch is 2 for example

    Please help

I'm not entirely sure what some of the sentences mean.

    1) You need to make a touch event either in front of the door exit or instead of the exits normal event... This is basic RMXP, you can find tutorials online for this.

    2) You need to set a switch/variable and give the rival another page with nothing on it except the switch/variable you have set to on or whatever... This is basic RMXP, you can find tutorials online for this.

    3) Going on the Wiki tells you most of everything you need to know about rivals and how they could be set up... You should probably bookmark the wiki so you can check there for any problems you come across in future.

    Good luck.
