Here you go. You have to get nine perfect tempos in the purifying machine. Then you put Lugia in and it should be ready for purification instantly.
However, Lugia will lose its dark colours.

Yeah what Kraka-chan said, it's pretty easy to do since there are so many shadow pokemon :)
