I've checked the pokedexs in Serebii and Marriland, but I couldn't find Seismic toss at all in Blissey's, Chansey's, nor Happiny's move list. I know that it can learn it because I've seen other people's team layout posts with Blissey knowing Seismic Toss. Please explain.

Edit: Ah, I see. So I have to transfer it over to Pokemon ruby/sapphire/emerald and use the move tutor eh?
Is there any other way besides buying another pokemon game just for Blissey to learn this move?

Well... you're half right. Since you can not transfer a Blissey from D/P, you'll have to transfer it from FR/LG (I say FR/LG because if I remember, Chansey can't be found in R/S/E, but correct me if I'm wrong). However, good luck with that one, because Chansey is one of the most difficult non-Legendaries not only to find, but also to catch. It's located in the Safari Zone in FR/LG, and catching it is purely up to luck. I've only caught it two times in my Pokemon career, which I think is more than 10 years (however long it's been since Red and Blue came out!)

But regarding the move, I think you may be SOL and JWF. I did a bit of research, and apparently Seismic Toss has been lost in the new generation. It's a sad loss, seeing has how Seismic Toss is really the only way for Blissey and her craptacular Attack stat to do consistent damage. I will have to try a transfer of Seismic Toss Blissey as soon as I defeat my Diamond game.

there is another way: trade for one.

Maybe there's a slightly worse alternative for Seismic Toss?

    Seismic Toss's description:
Inflicts damage identical to the user's level.

So that means if Blissey is lvl 100, then Seismic Toss's power will be 100 according to the description. So....looking at Blissey's movepool, there are several moves that are equal in power to 100, such as Egg Bomb, Double-Edge, Focus Punch, Earthquake, Return (at full happiness), Rock Climb, and Strength.
Also, Blissey's Sp. Attack is decent I think, so maybe Seismic Toss can be replaced by Ice Beam, thunderbolt, etc. What do you think? I don't think I have the patience or valuable pokemon to trade for a Bold Blissey with Seismic Toss.

no, it inflicts the same amount of HP as Blissey's level, man. so at level 100, it inflicts 100 HP onto anything except for ghosts.

so that means it could probably destroy any special sweeper with 3 seismic tosses (of course unless they have restorative moves such as recover, synthesis, etc).

Using marriland's damage calculator, I calculated that if Blissey attacks using Ice Beam on for example Gengar, its worst enemy, at max sp. defense, then it will at most do 82 damage at max sp attack and 61 mininum at min sp attack, which is not that bad of a deficit
in my opinion. What do you think?

    counter

With Blissey's huge HP, maybe Counter can replace Seismic toss?

But still, even with a weakness a non-STABed Ice Beam could do little or no damage, depending on the enemy. Seismic Toss is beautiful because it ALWAYS does the SAME damage. So Samson is right: Blissey could, at most, 4KO something with Seismic Toss, seeing as how very very few Poke's HP exceeds 400, even at level 100 and max EVs.

However, I have used a different Blissey: Serene Grace Blissey. Grab yourself a Blissey with the Serene Grace trait (increases the likelihood of an 'added affect'), and jack it up with Shock Wave (or Thunder, I forget which I used), Water Pulse, Ice Beam, and Softboiled. It's pretty effective, I found, with a high chance of Paralysis, Confusion and Freezing, with Softboiled for a standard.

Of course, the moves can be altered, but make sure all three are Special moves (now that D/P came out, I'm sure there are better moves for a Serene Grace Blissey) and all three have a chance of inflicting a status condition (a move with a chance of a burning would be effective, with Blissey's terrible defense). Not as amazing as Seismic-Toss Blissey, but I used the Serene Grace set to massacre the Battle Frontier.

way off base for serene grace usage. the only two pokemon who can actually utilize serene grace are Jirachi and Togekiss. togekiss has a kewl flinch hax with STAB and jirachi can learn just about every good special move.

ice beam on blissey is all that's needed on blissey considering its slow speed but ability to OHKO incoming dragons with ice beam. it keeps physical sweepers like garchomp and dragonite away.

Wow, it really has been removed from its movepool. I guess if you want it bad enough you'll have to give it to one in RSEFRLG, then Pal Park it.
