    I'm just starting a playthrough of Radical Red, and after teaching thief to one of my pokemon it doesn't seem to work. I'm fighting against Faulkner in the museum and used thief on his rufflet, it didn't take the item. I double checked my pokemon didn't have a held item, and Rufflet doesn't have any ability preventing thief from working. Is this a bug or maybe something specific to the berry juice item? From what I've seen online, it seems like thief should work like normal in Radical Red. I don't understand why this wouldn't work
     
    Ok nevermind, just went in against brock and the guy at the front informed me that thief doesn't work in "boss battles."
