For those of you that still havn't caught your roaming Lati, here's some good tips:
-Use mean look/shadow tag. If you don't have it:
-First, get either quick balls from saffron, or love balls from Kurt(pink apricorns). Love balls are better. Then use a male pokemon vs. Latias and a female vs. Latios.
-Make sure you can fly to all the cities in kanto.
-Get a pokemon with cut, fly and rock climb.

    1. Fly to Saffron.
    2. Check the pokegear map.
3a. If your lati is just above(on route 5), just to the right or left(on route 7 or 8), or just below Saffron(route 6) walk to it and find it in the grass. It shouldn't run away.
3b. If your lati is not near Saffron, fly to Celadon. Go left onto route 7. Check your pokemon. Is your lati on routes 5,6,7 or 8? If so, go to 3a. if not, go to Celadon then back to route 7 and check your pokegear map. Repeat until it's near Saffron.
    4. Whittle it's HP down the nothing with false swipe or something.
    5. Freeze/sleep it.
    6. Save your game.
    7. Find it again, and chuck a love ball/quick ball.
    8. Repeat until you catch it.

    Other hints:
If your Lati refuses to come near Saffron after 5 mins of postion checking, fly to either Fuschia or Cerulean City(whichever your lati is closest to), then back to saffron(check your pokegear), and back to Celadon if your lati is still being stubborn.

Let me know if this helps :)!
I'll try and find a solution to helping people catch Raikou/Entei aswell.

I just used a masterball because after catching Entei and Raikou, I really didn't feel like chasing the Lati down. I had two anyways.

That is true. But it was late at night and I really wanted to catch it and go to bed and didn't feel like playing another few hours of DS :P

I think the best way is just to save before battle it so incase you kill it its still there and every encounter just lower its hp bit by bit and save after each time. Then mean look or shadow tag and pokeball it. Always works for me.

Use mean look to make sure it won't get away then try wearing it out, then catch it XD

I didn't have mean look, or shadow and I needed latias staright away.
Just wondering, has anybody not caught Raikou/Entei yet?

Yeah, I haven't got Entei/Raikou yet even though I've got all 16 badges and training for Red.

Anyway, I haven't got any of those moves or abilities, so I suppose that I'll have to catch a Pokemon that I can use for catching, and teach it moves that can wittle away at its HP, before using a Quick Ball or something.

Oh my momma, i haven't caught any of my roamers yet D: They always run away lol. But it's just cos i'm too lazy to get a pokemon with mean look/ suction cups etc.

I don't know if anyone is having the same problem as me, but latias flees before i can use mean look.

For those of you who haven't caught the dog roamers, Have a haunter at lvl 37, prefeably with mean look. Knock down it's HP with night shade and prepare to faint or be roared away. when HP is in the yellow. Get an under 40 Farfetch'd to use false swipe to knock it into the red, to 1hp pref. Escape or let dog run. Get a grass type who knows Sleep powder ready and put the dog to sleep. It will still flee, but will be asleep when you encounter it next. One quick or ultra ball should take it down.
