[ASM & Hex] How to change the stat formula (Gen 3)

    I'm working on a Final Fantasy crossover, and wanted to change the stat formula so that Max HP is 9999, not 714, and all the other max stats are 999, not 690. How would I do this?

    I asked this question on Reddit yesterday and they pointed me to pokeemerald/pokeruby, but the instructions were really vague, asking me to move things to folders that didn't come with the install, and it there wasn't any App I could use at the end to change the roms. I have XSE and Essentials downloaded, so if it's possible to do in XSE or Essentials that'd be simpler for me.
