[Other] How to Dupe and Add New Abilities?

    Hi,
    Well, I'm trying to add some new abilities in my Firered rom. I know adding new abilities requires ASM knowledge, and I'm just an amateur. But I don't plan to go to that level and make completely new abilities. I just want a new ability, which will work like an old one, but with a different name and without replacing the old one.
    .

    For Example:
    Using PGE, I added a new ability and named it 'Protection'. I want it to function like the ability 'Wonder Guard', but when I hit a pokemon with this ability with the move 'Tackle', It actually hits the pokemon (ie. The ability doesn't work).

    Any Suggestions???
    Note: I know basic hex editing (eg. repointing, changing values, etc) and I've also done some hex editing so far (eg. replacing moves & items, combining move animations, editing move effects, etc), but don't know much about advanced coding yet.
