Well, the term "easy" is misleading because you still only have a 1/8192 chance of getting a shiny Pokémon. But the easiest shiny Pokémon to get are the event Pokémon. These include Pokémon like the starters, Eevee, Beldum, Castform, and legendary Pokémon that don't move around.
For the starters and other other event Pokémon that have already been caught, simply go up to them, save, and get them into your party. Then, check to see if they are shiny. If they aren't, reset your game and do the process over again until they become shiny.
For legendaries, save when you go up to them and trigger the battle. When they appear in battle, see if they are shiny. If they aren't, reset your game and rebattle them until they become shiny.

Other shiny Pokémon you can more easily encounter are the Pokémon that are extremely common. Sure, you may be sick and tired of running into Zubats and Tentacools everywhere, but since you see them so often, your chances of finding a shiny one increases.
Try going into places where only one kind of Pokémon can be found, such as Whismur in Verdanturf Tunnel or Diglett in Diglett Cave if you are interested in shiny versions of those Pokémon.

I wouldn't want to waste my time turning and turning off my game untill my switch breaks for a shiny Pokemon. If I'm desprite I would get a cheat code to make them shiny. Alot of people do that even for getting a shiny starter

Yeah, this works. I gotta shiny Rayquaza <3. It's my favorite thing in the world. Ha ha!

OK. Why should someone care if his Pokémon is shiny or not? It's exactly the same thing. I must admit shiny are cool, but I wouldn't do such things for a shiny one. It would be a waste of time.

I agree 100%. Shinies aren't the meaning of pokemon games.

    But there so shiney! *droools*

I'd only ever do this if the shiny Pokemon I wanted was better looking than the original. (In my opinion, at least)

For example, I wouldn't want a Shiny Pink Moltres.

Actually, when talking in pure mathematical statistics and probability - it doesn't matter how many times you run into a certain Poke. Because there aren't a limited amount of that certain Pokemon (ie, 99 regulars and 1 shiny), the probability is reset to. Unless the game has its own method, the probability that Lati@s will be shiny when you encounter it is exactly the same as when you encounter ANY other Poke, even when encountering the same species over and over.

So the save/reset method doesn't increase the probability, it just gives you an unlimited amount of chances to beat the dealer in this extremely one-sided gamble. It's the same probabilty no matter how many times you reset.

Sorry for going into Math-Geek-Baal, but I had to set that straight.

Yeah, shinies are really rare and they're considered collectors' Pokes. It's really headachingly annoying to even find one since it's a constant 1/8192 ratio. Of course, it kinda helps to get the shining Pokes you're given or you approach to fight, but the latter's the same as exploring Rusturf Tunnel or the non-altered Altering Cave (still full of Zubats then).

Of course, there's nothing sweeter in Emerald (as of now, :P) to get a Shining Rayquaza; it's just freakin' hard to get it, since I've soft reset the game sooooo many times and still nothing! Oh well, I just hope that when I bag it (I have a Master Ball here), its IVs and Nature (which aren't affected by Shininess) will still turn out all right! ;)

Hmm, I wonder if Shininess earns you more hearts for Contests... :P I'm aiming for a Shining Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Groudon in Emerald! Maybe even an Exploud or that Sudowoodo in the Frontier...

Yeah... I wouldn't go out of my way to get one either... :\
However, it's not like I don't care completly. If I happen to find a shiny pkmn while walking around, I'm definitly not letting it get away! :D
You only run into a shiny pkmn once in every 1892 pkmn (theoretically)! I'd seize the opportunity if it ever arose.
I woudln't go out of my way for one though, just train against wild pkmn and you're bound to find a shiny sooner or later, right? Of course, it is possible to run into like 10,000 pkmn without once running into a shiny pkmn... But it's also possible to run into 2 shiny pkmn within 100! Heck, I ran into a Shiny Poochyena on my emerald within the first 15 wild pkmn I encountered! :P

yea but if it were in GSC that would be different. A shiny in those games would have higher stats then normalcolored ones. But now its a waste of time
