2nd Gen How to get to Brock's City in Gold?

    My son can't gain entrance to Brock's City in Gold version.

    I hate to ask the dumb questions, but I have no other way of helping my son except for asking the experienced professionals on this forum.

    Did you get the Poke'Flute and woke up Snorlax?
     
    Yes, when you get the Pok?Flute you can wake up Snorlax outside of the Diglett Cave in Vermillion. When you have caught/fainted Snorlax you can go to Pewter City. Haven't played it in a while though ><
     
    You need to go in front of the snorlax, by digletts cave and put the radio station on pokeflute.Then the snorlax will wake up and you fight him.
     
    Thanks for the replies. Apparently he doesn't know anything about a radio near Diglets cave. Once he finds the radio, I assume it's self explanatory how to tune the radio to Pokeflute.

    Will check back later if we've made any progress.

    OK, it looks like he doesn't have a radio in his Pokegear. He has a town map and cell phone. Is there a way to earn a radio?

    If I remember correctly you go to goldenrod city and get it in the radio tower somewhere.I'll have to check to be sure though.
     
    go to the radio tower and talk to the lady behind the desk to the far right.
    asnwer the quiz and then you earn it.
     
    Hmm.. I'm sure you'll have to fix the Power Plant problem by finding the missing part. When you get to Lavender Town you should go into the Radio Tower and then talk to a man and he will give you the radio or radio card ^_^
     
    The radio in Lavender is an extension to the original Goldenrod radio. I've never actually tried, but I'd expect that you'd need the first radio before getting the expansion. Take the SS. Aqua back to Goldenrod if you haven't recovered the missing part. If you have, take the bullet train. :)
     
    Let me sum it up.

    1. Take the ship from Vermillion to Olivine and fly to Goldenrod or ride the Bullet Train to Goldenrod.

    2. Go to the Radio Tower (Big Black Building)

    3. On the first floor, at the far end of the desk, take the woman's quiz to get the radio card.

    4. Go back to Kanto the same way you came.

    5. Go east from Cerulean City to the Power Plant.

    6. Talk to the owner, on your way out, there will be a phone call to a worker.

    7. Go to Cerulean Gym, and go to the square block of water in the middle.

    8. Push a at the bottom right corner to get an item.

    9. Take it to the P.P. owner.

    10. Go to Lavender town's Radio Tower.

    11. Talk to the man facing the wall. He will give you a radio EXPN.

    12. Go to Snorlax, and turn on the radio in the Pokegear to the last channel.

    13. Push "A" on Snorlax.

    14. Beat/Capture it.

    15. Go through Diglett's Cave.

    16. Cut the tree right after D.C.

    17. Go north to Brovk's City
