[Scripting Question] How to implement permadeath but without it being a nuzlocke?

    Some friends and I started this project a few days ago, and We wanted to make it a little more interesting/challenging... when a pokemon faints there is a 50/50 chance for the pokemon to die permanently, but the player could heal his/her pokemon every time He/She wants(not the ones dead obviously) so it is not a nuzlocke.

    Basically, when a pokemon dies permanently the player shouldn't be able to revive it with an item nor in the pokemon center.

    We are new using pokemon essentials, so we couldn't figure out a way to do it ourselves :S
