I've been practicing tile inserting and have gotten better with it. Now, what I've come across is, I have house tiles I want to add but they are different colors, then there are some lava tiles, I have, etc, etc. I just want to know how some of you insert tiles and not have the problem of worrying if you cant fit in some of the tiles because you only have 12 palette tiles

Match similar looking colored tiles together and base colors off one of the tiles and in mspaint or whatever just adjust the other tiles to be 16-bit too or you can just index the tile group to 16-bit if you think they'll look good after you convert them down. I usually do grassy stuff together, rocky stuff together, etc. Pretty much like how the default tileset palettes are.
