[Question] How to properly debug/test a ROM HACK?

    I'm making an Emerald ROM HACK just for fun and i just changed the pokemon of the 8th gym. But I don't know how to properly test it. If I try to warp there, the gym is locked by the "main quest". I really don't want to do all the steps to unlock it.

    Does anyone has a way to test it and test other scenarios?
