How to start watching Pokemon???

    So i have been a Pokemon fan my whole life. Im an avid collecter of the cards and love the games, but when it comes to the anime i have only seen like a total of 100 episodes :/. So i have now decided that im going to watch the anime =D, there is just one problem though, I want to watch it from the very begining, but i don't know what order to watch everything, i mean with all the movies and battle fronteir, I wanna watch this anime the right way,what is the best and true order to watch the pokemon series including movies and everything? One more thing too, I would perfer to actually buy the dvd's rather than watch it on the internet, whaare the best sets to buy? should i wait for new ones to be released? is the 'Collecters book in Australia gonna be released in the states? Thanks for any help!!!
