5th Gen How to unlock pokemon to the pokedex.

Hello, i was hoping that someone would be able to help me.

Is there any way to unlock pokemon to the pokedex that do not feature within the game without knowing someone with those pokemon and trading with them?

I do not have any of the older games and do not know anyone else with them either.

I have tried to do random battle, random trade, watch battle videos, and have seen alot of new pokemon but they have not been recognised by my pokedex and therefore i cannot use the Global Trade feature to trade for them.

Is there ANY way to complete the pokedex without having the older games?

Unless they're found in-game, you can't (or poketransfer'd but it seems you can't do that). Though luckily, PC does have a [ quick trade thread ], as well as an entire trade section for you to basically ask for older Pokemon within. Sure you have to give away your Friend Code to people you don't know, but it works just as well as GTS since you don't have to have seen the Pokemon to be able to get them. :3

Otherwise, there's nothing else you can really do other than collect all the Pokemon found within the games, but that isn't as fun. :(
