Welcome to the Member Encyclopedia! Using this forum is simple.
1. Create your thread.
- Members are only allowed a single thread. If you post a thread in this forum when you already have an older one open, it will be locked in favor of your newest thread.
- Your thread must include some information about yourself that you would feel comfortable sharing. Maybe your first name, your age, your gender, where you are in school, your job, a few interests and hobbies, and other details about yourself that you would feel comfortable letting other people know. Pretty much, something to allow members to go off of when they ask questions to get to know you if they've never seen you before rather than a new thread with "ask me anything you want" as the message.
- If there's anything you absolutely don't want to be asked, please include that in your thread.
- As of late 2014, creating a thread here will require you to have made 25 posts across the Member Encyclopedia. This is to encourage active participation in other Q&A threads besides your own.
2. Wait for your thread to be approved.
- Thread approval is on so that we can monitor the threads that are posted. We want to make sure that you include some information about yourself, and we want to make sure that you're only posting one thread.
- Threads that don't include some information of yourself won't be approved. :(
- Thread approval will usually be done within 48 hours.
- If your thread isn't approved, you will be notified via private message.
3. Ask questions.
- In other threads, ask questions you're genuinely interested in.
- Keep your questions within the rules, meaning don't ask anything inappropriate.
- Try to refrain from asking questions already asked. Search the thread using keywords of your question beforehand. It's no big deal if you ask one that's already been asked, though.
- In your own thread, answer the questions other people ask of you.
- Answer all questions that were posted after your previous post in a single reply.
- Added June 2015: Please do not copy and paste the same question across different threads. This is considered spam and your posts will be removed.

- This forum is all about getting to know one another. Use it as a means of communication, and an ice breaker tool to potentially meet new people and make new friends. :)
