Hello PC people! I'm Dare, I'm a member of quite a few other Pokemon forums, so many that I don't even feel like mentioning them all. This seems like a cool Pokemon site, and I look forward to metting all of you.
I may as well post a little biography of my Pokemon obsession to help people get to know me better.
I got into Pokemon around 1999, which was really Pokemon's break out year. I was in 1st grade at the time, a mere 7 year old. I watched the show and collected some cards, but otherwise did little with Pokemon. I did it because everyone else did it, which I'm sure sounds really bad but it was true.
Around 2001 Pokemon was starting to lose its gusto to the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon (both of which suck, IMO). I stopped liking Pokemon because of this, but it was around this time when I got into the Pokemon video games. So, even though I said that I wasn't a Pokemon fan, I really couldn't get enough of the stuff.
In late 2004 I received a copy of Pokemon Sapphire and almost immediately lost it, and I really began to lose interest at that time. This went on until July of 2005, when I uncovered 38 Pokemon cards, along with some troll dolls and other little nothings. The cards captivated me, and I immediately went on the computer to sign up for Pokemon websites. From that day on I was Pokemon obsessed, and that obsession stands today.
