3rd Gen Hunting shiny Regis

I'm not sure if this is a simple question, so I apologise in advance.

As the title says, I'm trying to catch a shiny Regice, and I've had an odd thought. When you go into a Regi's lair, there's a sprite of the Regi waiting for you. Does anyone know if the sprite itself will change colour if the Regi is a Shiny?

I also wondered if this applied to the other Legendaries as well.

Nope. You won't know if it's shiny until you get it to attack you. For example, when I was restarting for a shiny Treecko in Ruby, the Poochyena that attacked Prof. Birch turned up shiny once for me. But before I challenged it, I didn't know; it looked like a regular old Poochyena. Sorry! You'll just have to keep pressing that a button and trying! ^^; Good luck!
