I have no idea why but HxD cannot 'find' anything! I even used values which I could clearly see on the screen and it still said it could not find anything. I need to edit the world map's offset but it won't find it. Please help?

When you are searching, change datatype from Text String to Hex values.

I did that and it still won't find 9C083F08, the apparent values for the world map. Maybe they are wrong? If so, how can I find out what they are. I get so far with my world map importing and the .raw file doesn't seem to get implemented properly.

If that's the pointer to the world map RAW file on the ROM you're working on, perhaps you accidentally repointed it? Try searching for the same hex string in a clean ROM. The offset of the hex string should be what you're looking for, I think.

If you're still having trouble, please let us know what ROM base you're using and if you're following any tutorials.

I am trying on a clean rom. It didn't work on my current one so I thought I'd give it a go on a clean one, but no luck. I'm using Fire Red as a base and followed these tutorials here:

It just seems to go wrong with the importing of raw file.
