My first fanfic after a very long time. Since then, I've been trying to improve my grammar and spelling skills. I hope you enjoy my fan-fic. Wow, I didn't realize how short it looks untill now, I promise the next chapter will be more lenghty.
"Hey Josh! You hungry? Sara and I were just about to get a bite to eat," says my friend Tommy from the door way, his crazily styled blond hair casting odd shadows into the dimly lit room.
"Nah, I'm not hungry, thanks anyway though," I reply back to him, rubbing my sleeping Pikachu gently on the head.
"Alright fine, but don't expect me to give you any food on the way to Eterna City tomorrow," He shuts the door and walks back downstairs.
Yeah, I'm traveling with Tommy, a guy I met back in Twinleaf town, and Sara, whom I had met in Kanto. It's times like these where I miss my sister, her name's Crystal, it suits her, for her eyes are as clear and vibrant and as any crystalline object. Here I go again… My thoughts always go back to my sister, we were so close, we always cheered each other on… We got our first Pokémon together, that one summer… That one summer…

My alarm clock's consistent beeping awoke me at 4:30 A.M. on a Sunday; my sister and I's tenth birthday had finally arrived! I jumped out of bed, pulling on my black T-shirt, my Emerald and black pants, then I noticed my hat was missing. I walk out into the hall to Crystal's room.
"Hey sis… Do you know where my hat is?" I ask, leaning against the door frame. She finished putting up the back of her hair into a small pony tail and turned in her chair to face me with the most innocent look.
"What hat? I have no idea what you're talking about bro," she smiles slowly and pulls out the hat from behind her back and waves it in the air. I rolled me eyes; 'Great, she's going to make me chase her for it…' I walked toward her and tried to grab the hat but she pulled it away from me.
"Too slow there bro!" she smirked and jumped out of the chair; knocking me onto the bed in the process and running downstairs.
"Ack! Aww c'mon sis! Why do you always do this?" I ran downstairs chasing her. She was laughing, her attire which consisted of mostly leaves; I kid you not, she wore leaves, was rustling as she ran out into the arena area of our house, my Dad's gym.
"Common you Slowpoke, you'll have to do better than that to catch me!" she waved the hat in the air, and placed her free hand on her hip. I ran toward her trying to snatch the hat but, she made it difficult as she was pushing me back and holding it further away from me.
"Quit playing around you two! You are going to be late to Professor Birch's lab to pick your Pokémon, and you haven't even eaten breakfast yet!" called our Dad from the other end of the arena. Crystal hands me my hat and walks away like nothing happened. I follow her to the dining room. Seated at the table were, my mother Caroline, my father Norman, my younger sister May, my baby brother Max, and my sister Crystal, next to the empty seat for me. I sat down at the table and began to eat my toast.
"So, have you two both packed and ready to leave?" asked my dad.
"Yup," I answered taking small bites of my toast, "I packed some supplies for me and some for my Pokémon when I get it." My sister sat next to me consuming her toast in huge bites, was all excited and hyper about getting her first Pokémon.
"Crystal, Crystal, show some manners and chew with your mouth closed and don't eat so fast, you might choke," scolded my mom from across the table, "And please tell me you're not going to travel in those." And by 'those' she meant my sister's attire which consisted of, a leaf top, and leaf skirt, she dressed this way since she helped Professor Birch in the field, by trying to get Pokémon to come to her.
"Aww c'mon mom…" whined Crystal. I nearly choked on my orange juice holding in a laugh. Crystal shot me a look and stomped on my foot. I winced and finished eating; I dunked my plate and glass into the sink and I ran up to my room and grabbed my backpack; only to find it missing.
"Crystal!! Where's my backpack!?" I yelled.

An opening door interrupted my train of thought as Tommy and Sara walked into the room full of food in their stomachs, and a tired look in their eyes.
"Time to hit the hay!" declared Tommy as he plopped down on the lower bunk.
"I'll say, it's been a long day, and you still stink after being sprayed by that Stunky Tommy!" said Sara as she climbed the ladder to the top of the bunk I was lying down in.
"I took like… Eight showers already!"
"Heh, well, you guys have a good night's rest, I'm going to walk around town with Buizel." I said as I got up carefully from the bunk.
"You're weird Josh, why go out again at this hour?" asked Tommy.
"Simple answer; I like the night." I walked out of our room and downstairs to the lobby of the Pokémon Center and out the sliding doors to the streets of Floaroma Town. A slight breeze rolled through and carried with it the scent of millions of flowers through the night. I sighed, taking in a deep breath of the sweet scent and released Buizel from my Poke Ball.
"Hey buddy," I said calmly to him, patting him on the head, in response he rubbed up against my leg. Buizel and I walked down the street to a pasture full of flowers, next to a glittering lake with the reflection of the moon, floating undisturbed on the water's surface. I couldn't help but smile as Buizel raced toward the water and dive right in. I walked toward a tree along the water's edge and leaned against it, watching my Buizel splash and play in the water. Yes, I love Sinnoh, and seeing Pokémon like my Biuzel playing happily with other wild Pokémon in a lake surrounded by sweet wmelling flowers, only proves it.
I'm Just a Pokémon Trainer
Chapter 1: Thinking Back
Popularity? Well, being the champion of the Pokémon League of Hoenn four times running sure brought me that boat. Me, Josh Maple; 16 years old, son of the Gym leader of Petalburg, with two sisters and an younger brother; I just wanted to get away from it all, the crowds, the photographers, all of that just wasn't me. My mom, she loved the popularity I brought, so I was always stuck at home, it drove me insane, so I left one night with a different set of clothes and Pikachu. I'm currently in the region of Sinnoh; it's so nice here, you can really get away from it all, and the people, are the nicest I've ever met.Chapter 1: Thinking Back
