Yeah, about time too lol. The first time I fought the Rival, this is how I lost:

I have Charizard at around 75% health and poisoned, Raichu full health.
    Rival has Clefable full health.

I switch out Charizard for Raichu.
Clefable uses Blizzard, does around 70% damage to Raichu, and FREEZES it (stupid hax...)
Raichu gets killed the turn after.
Zard comes in and uses Slash.
Critical hit! Does around 40% damage.
    Zard takes poison damage.
    Clefable uses Blizzard!
Super-effective (wtf?!), Charizard is left with 20 HP.
Zard uses Fly, Clefable's attack misses, Zard takes poison damage.
Zard uses Fly, CRITICAL HIT, and I was like "YESH!"
Then that stupid hax Clefable survived with 10 HP and promptly killed Zard with a Psychic >,<

Then I challenged it again and won easily the second time.

I used lvl 52 Mew (obtained via Mew Glitch), lvl 51 Blastoise, lvl 52 Raichu, lvl 52 Charizard, lvl 51 Venusaur, and a rental lvl 50 Nidoking.

So, what are your experiences with Pokemon Stadium?

I never beat the Castle in Stadium 1, i just could never be bothered, but i did beat all of the Cups, and the same thing with Stadium 2, i just found that they took forever because the battles seemed so slow and i didn't have the patients to sit through them, maybe i'll dust off the old N64 and try them again.

I've never defeated the gym castle :(

I always found pokemon stadium pretty damn hard. I really should start playing it again, my N64 is somewhere in my attic now </3

lol same here, I kinda ditched the old games when Ruby and Sapphire came out, but I went back to them just for the fun of it xD

Gym Castle is basically the only thing I can kill. The cups were so much harder, especially because I used to use rentals instead of my own stuff.
