Could someone please tell me where I find my friend code because the one I found was in the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx but when I tried to add it to my profile it said that the format XXXX XXXX XXXX.

You have to hook up on Wifi to get it. Because if you dont go global, whats the point of knowing your Friend Code? Did you do that?

And dont sign up here just to ask a question, please. People are complaining about it.

First, you make sure you have configured wifi settings to a connection that works via the WFC screen accessible at the title screen. Then you go to any pokemon center and go downstairs (right staircase). Walk into the room, and someone will stop you, explain a bit about the wifi system, and give you your pal pad. Use your pal pad in your key items, and you can display your friend code. If it doesn't work, then there is probably something wrong with your internet connection, or there is an incompatibility with security settings. For that, you should ask your service provider, or whoever set up your internet.

You dont get friend code when you obtain pal pad. After obtaining pad talkto guys at basement they will tell you you have no friends recored in your pal pad but you can get yur own at least. You will get a warning about your ds and game will be recorded as a set. Then ds will atempt to connect WFC If it's succesful you probably get your code
Point is my usb adepter (not nintendo) doesn't work.
