It took 4 years of preparation and searching, but now I have a website hosting service up and running. I am soo happy about this and I want to let you all know that you can have your website hosted on my server for FREE...and get this, no popup ads!!

That is my promise to my Hosted sites, we will not force popup ads on to them.

    If your interested goto www.tnscwebsites.co.nr

How much do i have to tell people, you cant host people on geocities, net firms, angelfire, they might as well sign up themselves. If You do have your own server, host the main site there

It's not a good place to host your host on... try buying your own host or something.

Yea thats right, people might as well just sign up with the free hosting service themselves, don't see much difference.

Yea I don't think for geocities, angelfire, tripod, netfirms you can offer your own free hosting service. Unless like someone really wants a super long directory or whatever.

Get a prime server and you can start hosting your subdomains / domains whatever, it wont be pointless this way.

    There is a difference

    1-it's on my own server
2-no popup ads, (like with geocities, angelfire, tripod, free servers, etc.)

The reason im not gonna put my site on my server is
1- i just got the server, and my site has been firmly planted in its location for 4 years..I have had this server for no more than 4 months.
2-I'd rather save the space on my own server to host the member's sites.
3-The site hosting system is a Seperate site of its own, and IS hosted on my own server.

besides those ppl who actually decite to get hosting through net firms, won't have the same features as with mine...ALL NETFIRMS DOES IS GIVE YOU FTP ACCESS W/OUT THE SITE BUILDER STUFF. YOU ARE COMPLETLY ON YOUR OWN.
Besides you would have to buy/download an FTP program to use it, and for newbies, using FTP to completly edit and update your site is pointless...its much easier with the site builders...

FYI i already have like 3 accounts.

besides, Tripod address are worse https://members.tripod.com/something/YOU
    or www.members.tripod.com/YOU
'thats sill like 6 extra characters to type
    get the picture??

hmmm doesn't look to good to me.. what is a url of a site on 'YOUR SERVER' ?
might be ok for some n00bs, but anyone with any hopes of having a decent site will not want to use this.. (way too many issues, i.e. frames, ads, etc..)

    just fyi
the frames and my ads are only on my site and not forced onto the members' sites

I am considering moving the service to a server that does not force the ads..

What are you gonna do next? Start charging $5/month for 10MB of space when you can get 50MB for free? Sounds like a waste of time to me. If you have your own server, then it might work, but what you're doing now is pointless and an insult to people's intelligence. Plus, frames are so 1999! But otherwise it's a good idea. :P
