This is for me to try to find out the pokemon i should use for pokemon i feel are the most OU. I would like to start by saying that i really dont like OU pokemon. Most of the ones on my battle team are OU, but i think the advantages to having a few original choices are very rewarding. First, What is the best pokemon to fight off the dreaded Blissey/Skarmory duo. I have heard that Dusknoir is a good choice, and also Infernape, but what is the best choice?

Best? Well, Magnezone obviously takes down skarm like no other. Why do you use OU pokemon if you hate them? Doesn't make much sense.

Infernape is a good one too. Nasty plot Flamethrower/grass knot gives skarms and the rest of the team problems but blissey can't switch in due to infernape having close combat.

I imagine Electivwire is good too. Takes a twave from blissey and say thank you and cause havoc to the entire team.

A lot of things can break Skarm Bliss. It's actually a lot easier to beat than most people think. Just have to have good coverage on your team, mostly fire and fighting of course.

starmie is so OU. it's only every other team. swampert is OU too. it's not as common as some other OU's but it's around. worst case it's a very very good BL.

Kingdra can beat Skarm Bliss? Skarm it can beat alright, but if they switch to Blissey Kingdra is completely walled.

Starmie is not OU, but isn't UU.

Kingdra or any mixed sweeper pwns.
What are you talking about??? Starmie has ALWAYS been OU. And this gen is STILL OU

Here's a good UU Team you can try out.

    Electivire @ Life Orb
    Trait: Motor Drive
    Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
    EVs: 140 HP / 92 Atk / 144 Def / 96 SAtk / 164 Spd
    -Thunderbolt
    -Cross Chop
    -Focus Blast
    -Fire Punch

    SkarmBliss counter.

    Ambipom @ Choice Band
    Trait: Technician
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    -Shadow Claw
    -Double Hit
    -U-Turn
    -Brick Break

SC for Ghosts, Double Hit powered up thanks to ability, U-Turn for a hit-and-run type of situation, and Brick Break KOs a variety of types.

    Meganium @ Leftovers
    Trait: Overgrow
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    EVs: 236 HP / 252 Def / 16 SDef
    -Aromathreapy
    -Reflect
    -Leaf Storm
    -Toxic

    UU Physical Wall.

    Blastoise @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    EVs: 244 HP / 60 SAtk / 200 SDef
    -Ice Beam
    -Toxic
    -Surf
    -Rest

    Hariyama @ Leftovers
    Trait: Thick Fat
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SDef
    -Bulk Up
    -Rest
    -Brick Break / Cross Chop
-Earthquake / Rock Slide / Stone Edge

I know unusual spread and moveset, but I've tried it and it works like a charm. Besides, he needs the Defenses.

    Ampharos @ Life Orb
    Trait: Static
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    EVs: 196 HP / 60 Def / 252 SAtk
    -Power Gem
    -Thunder Wave
    -Signal Beam
    -Thunderbolt

    Special Sweeper.

Well, he wondered how to counter SkarmBliss, so that's probably one of the best ways to do it. Magmar can work too, and I know he's UU, I just checked the Tier List.

Why would you use Magmar when you can use Magmotar?

Just trying to understand your post.

Magmortar seems pretty UU to me. Never really sees play on teams.

I see Magmortar on teams every once in a while, but not all the time. I wouldn't say it is OU but it is reaching OU status.

I haven't been able to locate the tier list for the D/P generation, but I would think Magmortar would be Borderline, which is basically more part of OU since Borderliners aren't allowed in the UU metagame.

That's why I was simply guessing with Ambipom and Electivire. Sorry about that.

You just gave me a great physical wall for my team, ty very much.

I'm the only one that uses Meganium, heck, I even use it in the OU metagame and with the right EVs and movesets it PWNS. I thought it would be nice to finally share my signature Meganium with the public.

Skarm Bliss combo is dead now.

It is? They must have lost quite a bit of power in 4th gen.

Im sorry if i wasnt clear, but i want help to beat OU pokeon with UU pokemon. I dont consider Magmortar OU. When i say OU, i mean in the same level as Bliss/Skarm, Garchomp, Milotic, ect. I know i said i hate OU pokes, and i do, but if i dont use at least a few, it is very hard to stand up against some of the people who use nothing but the standard OU pokemon, because they are OU for a reason. I think having a few orginal choices makes the game more intresting, thats all. What is the best poke to go against any type of Salamence?
