I know that there are Special variants of Electivire. They're rare, but sometimes used. But I have an idea: Why use Special Electivire? Why not Special Electabuzz? Thsy have the same Sp. Atk, but Electabuzz is faster. Yet Special 'Vire's are still used. Why is that so?

Eh, nobody uses Special Electivire =/
And to answer your question, Electabuzz does not pack enough power to actually sweep an entire team unless it's running Choice Specs, and he doesn't even have enough Speed to pull that off.

CSpecs Electivire gains a speed boost from electric attacks, predict well and your looking at a pokemon that has Specs and Scarf on (well not really but it's the same sort of thing) only problem is you lose the speed if they switch to a counter
