I have been EV training my dragonair (which will eventually evolve into dragonite) and I have been doing it by letting it hold the experience share item and letting a different one of my pokemon battle. I have been EV training it for speed and attack and I had added up all the points and it should have had maxed out EVs. However, when I went to go get the effort ribbon( and I had dragonair first in my party) it said that it needed to work harder. So i figured I must have made a small error and I battled a few more attack and speed pokemon and went back to her and my EVs still werent maxed out! so what did I do wrong?????

You just need to put 6 more EVs in anywhere besides Attack and Speed.

i already did that... and I did even more, I hope I did it right, I looked up a chart and it said that raticate and fearow were both 2 speed EVs and that ratata and spearow were 1 speed EV and that meditite was 1 speed EV. Then Bibarel was 2 attack EVs and Krikitune was 2 attack EVs and that machop was 1 attack EV. Is this correct?? I hope I didn't make a bad adding mistake or something :-/

Those EVs are correct. It's not the EXP share, since that doesn't split EVs. I don't know what's wrong.

    Correct.

(...really, is there a reason I can't reply with a simple 'Correct'?)

Yes each vitamin counts as 10 EVs.

That's because there's a limit to how effective vitamins are (otherwise ingame training would be pointless). Use vitamins first before EV training, because when you reach 100 EV in a stat, or 10 vitamins, anything after that has to be added by EV training in the normal way. Cos you've passed this limit, you'll have to EV train the rest of the way.
