I want to point out before I begin this is for 3RD GENERATION! So please don't post 4th gen movesets or whatever. I admit I have a bad attitude about it so it would be helpful if you read this first before posting. 'K, thanks. While on vacation, I got some ideas online on how I should complete my team. As the title states, I think I finally made a pretty good team. I need a little help, but I mostly just want a rating. I'm gonna post a poll (1-5) here soon. I want 100% honesty as long as the critizism is constructive. Kingdra is finalized (he's at level 88, EV trained with great IVs). Crobat has already been EV trained. The moveset isn't final, however. I also hate messing with Hidden Power, so don't mention that. Well, here's my team!

    Crobat@Choice Band
    Jolly Nature
    EVs: 252 speed, 252 attack, 6 HP
    ~Shadow Ball
    ~Sludge Bomb
    ~Steel Wing
    ~Wing Attack

CB Crobat, my Physical Sweeper. Faster than Zam, Gengar, and other speedy threats, I think he can totally destroy many opponents. Also, both of his defenses have tremendous IVs. His super speed allows him to at least leave a dent before fainting. He can also take one or two normal hits, so he's durable for having no defensive EVs.

    Steelix@Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    EVs: HP 252, Defense 252, 6 Attack
    ~Earthquake
    ~Roar
    ~Explosion
    ~Toxic

My Physical Wall. Steelix's tremendous 200 base defense allows him to absorb Earthquake well. Can roar away baton passers, dragon dancers and other pokemon that want to power up to take him down. He has Explosion to leave a big bang on a particularly tough pokemon, so he won't go down without denting the opposition. A real force that thumps the most capable physical sweepers. Add the screens from Megs and Steelix is a force.

    Kingdra@Lum Berry
    Modest Nature
EVs: 240 Special Attack, 252 HP, 18 Speed
    ~Rain Dance
    ~Dragonbreath
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Surf

My Special Sweeper. Rain Dance puts Kingdra up to 410 speed and powers up Surf. Currently at level 88, Kingdra can hit every single pokemon with at least a normally effective hit. It can dish out punishment to Mence and other powerhouse dragons. I am thinking of using him as my starter. Hits fast and very hard. Lum Berry to avoid status when using Rain Dance.

    Meganium@Leftovers
    Calm Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 126 Special Defense, 126 Defense
    ~Giga Drain (PP Maxed)
    ~Reflect
    ~Light Screen
    ~Leech Seed

My Wall/Tank thing. Megs can take any hit after setting up the screens. It can also set up the walls with screen support to withstand more attacks. Leech Seed and Giga Drain restore health and cause damage at the same time, make it tough to take down with Lefties. Any Grass type totally owns Megs, witch is its only true downfall. Poison types do a number to him as well.

    Gardevoir@??? Need help here
    Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Speed, 200 HP, 58 Defense, need help here as well
    ~Calm Mind
    ~Psychic
    ~Fire Punch
    ~Thunderbolt

Gardy is my Special Wall and Sweeper. Calm Mind allows it to power up and then dish out punishment while withstanding some as well. Fire Punch destroys steels easily. To avoid getting hammered by agiligross, reflect would likely be passed to Gardy to withstand Meteor Mash and similar physical moves.

    Machamp@Shell Bell
    Adamant Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 HP, 6 Defense
    ~Cross Chop (PP Maxed)
    ~Rock Slide
    ~Rest
    ~Sleep Talk

I love Machamp. Rock Slide deals damage to flying types and Cross Chop Nails almost everything Rock Slide can't hit. Shell Bell restores lots more HP if you hit the opponent harder, so sleep from Rest + Guts + outstanding base attack + STAB = health restored, and probably a OHKO on the opponent as well. No speed EVs so he can get hit and then Rest on the first turn.

    Counter List

Here is how my team counters the most common threats of online battling (list from Pokemon Elite 2000).

Tyranitar-Machamp takes care of this thing easily.
    Salamence-Kingdra can destroy most Mences.
Metagross-Steelix and Gardy can hurt it, but don't own it by any means.
Celebi-Kingdra better be able to beat this thing or I could be in trouble. Gardy is a decent backup.
Zapdos-Kingdra really hurts Zapdos, and ditto with Machamp as long as he isn't KOed by a strong attack.
Raikou-Steelix can stop this thing dead in its tracks, even HP Fire wouldn't OHKO it with Light Screen from Megs.
Swampert-Megs can withstand anything it throws at it. Giga Drain drills this thing.
Milotic-A threat for sure, CM and thunderbolt from Gardy can dish out a OHKO. Crobat can finish it off if Mirror Coat occurs.
Suicune-Megs and Gardy can hurt this thing with CM and Megs stalling. Tough to take down though.
Heracross-Crobat eats this thing for lunch and still has plenty of room for dinner.
Gengar-Crobat finishes this thing for sure.
    Snorlax-Machamp smashes this thing, probably a 2HKO.
    Blissey-Machamp can counter Bliss too!
Jirachi-Like Metagross, tough. Same way to take it down though. CM and Fire Punch from Gardy hurts it a lot.
Dugtrio-Kingdra OHKOs Dugtrio with Surf (assuming Rain Dance is in play).

Obviously has a few holes that need to be filled. Overall I think this is the best team I've made yet. Okay, now just to rate! Any help/critizism is greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody!

Areal Ace over Wing Attack? It would be more efficient.

I would consider Salac Berry for Machamp but it does not have any speed EV's to begin with. But it's still a item for consideration.

Leftovers is most that can work on Gardevoir.

Thanks guys. Okay, after reading some of the ratings I wonder how to improve my roster and the movesets. Kingdra is at level 96and EV trained, and I really wanna use steelix. Everyone else is fine by me to be replaced. Any suggestions to improve this squad are all appreciated. Thanks for the responses. I can't get the berries, so I'll go lefties for both. Does machamp need speed EVs? But thanks everyone. I'm gettin' a better idea of how good my team is. Thanks.

I don't have time to do a full rate, but one look at your counters list shows that it's very flawed.

    Counter List

    (list from Pokemon Elite 2000)

A counter must be able to switch in and SURVIVE whatever the thing you're countering throws at you.
And lol, PE2K isn't a good site for competitive battling. Use Smogon next time.

    Salamence-Kingdra can destroy most Mences.
Can't switch in on a CBed HP Flying. You can't counter it.

Celebi-Kingdra better be able to beat this thing or I could be in trouble. Gardy is a decent backup.
Celebi easily shrugs off unSTABed Ice Beams and Fire Punches, can Calm Mind and Recover off any damage. You can't counter this.

Zapdos-Kingdra really hurts Zapdos, and ditto with Machamp as long as he isn't KOed by a strong attack.
Neither likes switching into a STABed Thunderbolt

Heracross-Crobat eats this thing for lunch and still has plenty of room for dinner.
    lol Rock Slide lol

Gengar-Crobat finishes this thing for sure.
Can't switch in on a Thunderbolt or Ice Punch.

Jirachi-Like Metagross, tough. Same way to take it down though. CM and Fire Punch from Gardy hurts it a lot.
Not really. Jirachi can CM too, and heal itself with Wish. You can't counter it.

Dugtrio-Kingdra OHKOs Dugtrio with Surf (assuming Rain Dance is in play).
Yeah, assuming being the key word. More often than not, you won't have a Rain Dance up. Besides, what kind of idiot keeps a Dugtrio in against a Kingdra in the rain?

Wow, that's a lot of things you thought you could counter, but you couldn't in reality. Any good team should NOT be weak to any of those threats.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Wow. I agree with about everything except crobat is much faster than heracross and could beat it with whatever flying attack I end up giving it. Otherwise, I see your point. Okay, back to the drawing board...again. This is what I'm 100% sure I'm keeping:

    Steelix@leftovers
    Impish Nature
    EVs: 252 Defense, 252 HP, 6 Attack
    ~Roar
    ~Earthquake
    ~Toxic
    ~Explosion/Rock Slide

Yeah, I have my heart set on using steelix. I'm open to suggestions on the other stuff like EVs. The other poke I'm keeping is:

    Kingdra@leftovers/shell bell
    Modest Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 240 Special Attack, 16 Speed
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Surf
    ~Dragonbreath
    ~Rain Dance

    Finalized and at level 100.

So, yeah. Otherwise, anybody feel free to demolish this team and help make it much better. Of course, I appreciate it if it's constructive, so, thanks. Here arew some other pokemon I'd like to use if possible:

    Rhydon-Is this thing any good?
    Mewtwo-Just Kidding
    Feraligatr-Physical Sweep
    Typhlosion-Is this any good either?
Dragonite-I'm almost positive I want to use him.
    Blastoise-One of my favs
    Gengar-Cool special sweeper

And any others anybody else can think of. So thanks again. I'm still trying to get a "perfect" team for me (one that is good and uses cool pokemon). So, yeah. Oh, my dragonite I plan on using:

    Dragonite@???
    Jolly/Adamant Nature
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Earthquake
    ~Aerial Ace
    ~Brick Break

Any physical moves work for the last two slots I guess. That's what I have planned.

I have Steelix, Kingdra at level 100, and Dragonite. Who else should I use? I need a special wall and I'd like a pokemon with reflect and LS (can't remember what those are called). I was thinking of using a psychic pokemon for one or both or one of those roles. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
