[Question] I want to start rom hacking. What's a good thing to do for beginners?

    I want to start rom hacking. I'd like to start small, preferably. I know that decomps are easier to work with, and i know that CFRU has the features that I want. My only question is, where do i start?

    The decomps aren't necessarily easier depending on what you're making but they're overall the best method to romhacking. Start by downloading and installing the pokeemerald decomp. This tutorial series might be usefult to you, also check out the tutorials on these forums and on pokeemerald's wiki. Featurewise almost every feature of CFRU exists for pokeemerald as well, and the total number of custom features for pokeemerald is greater than what exists for binary hacking.
