this guy is an idiot. of all things, graphics 6.5? the graphics is the best thing about the game.

see this is what's wrong with IGN. they're all about Hi-Def first person shooters.

I agree the graphics are very very good, I could have swore that Pokemon R/S/E had a higher number for there graphics then a 6. I would give it a 9

Maybe it got a lower score for graphics because R/S/E had good graphics for GBA but D/P doesn't have good graphics for a DS.

I dunt think so. WOW what losers they gave it a 6.5/10

I agree with Queen Boo. I would also give it a 9.

They didn't give the graphics score comparing it to other Pokémon games. They were comparing it to ALL THE DS LIBRARY. You've got to admit that a game like Super Mario 64 DS or NEW Super Mairo Bros., for example, had way better graphics than Diamond/Pearl. They're giving it out on a DS Library scale, you can't just be overly biased and compare it to previous installments of a certain franchise.

I disagree completely. The DP graphics are horrendous considering the capabilites of the DS. The buildings are blocky and cheap looking. And the battle system is a joke. I've seen better looking battle systems in fangames. It looked just like the GBA games, which is just insulting to be honest.

The game should've looked smoother and more worthy of being on the DS.

I got Diamond today and I agree a little bit. But I must admit it's better then other DS or ADV games but its good.

I don't listen to reviews from gaming mags. Generally their to one sided when it comes to many things. However considering just how bad the DS has failed in the graphics department, I'd say a 6.5 seems just about right. I'm not one to judge a game completely on graphics though, I believe their not all as important as people make them out to be.

While walking around, talking, etc, the graphics are excellent. What the writer is criticizing is the battle graphics of the characters. The DS is capable of pretty good graphics, not a small upgrade from Gameboy Advance. He has a point, but he disregards the fact to make it a Pokemon Stadium-like game it would use a lot of memory of the game and therefore would probably limit the amount of things the game itself can do.

6.5 is perfectly reasonable for a graphics rating for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl because it is rating it on a scale where 10 is THE BEST the system is capable of...and it is capable of much more that Diamond and Pearl.
