Well, I have no problem with my pokemon, but I recently lost an embarrasing defeat against a friend, he had pokemon like 2 lvls below mine, and i never used a rare candy on my team. anyway here they are:

    Pidgeot:
    Fly
    Mirror Move
    Aerial Ace
    Return

    Zapdos:
    Substitute
    Thunder
    Shock Wave
    Drill Peck

    Mewtwo:
    Swift
    Recover
    Earthquake
    Physcic

    Golem:
    Sesmic Toss
    Explosion
    Dobule-Edge
    Earthquake

    Articuno:
    Powder Snow
    Blizzard
    Sheer Cold
    Ice Beam

    Charizard:
    Fire Blast
    Blast Burn
    Flamethrower
    Heat Wave

    Pidgeot:
    Fly Steel Wing
    Mirror Move Whirlwind/Featherdance/filler
    Aerial Ace
    Return

Avoid type overlap. It restricts your versatility.

    Zapdos:
    Substitute
    Thunder Thunderbolt
    Shock Wave Thunder Wave
    Drill Peck

The 'overpowered' moves, like Thunder, are less accurate and deal less damage in the long run.

    Mewtwo:
    Swift Thunderbolt
    Recover
Earthquake Ice Beam (you wasted the TM! ;_; )
    Psychic

Pay close attention to your Pok?mon's stats before you assign moves. Special moves work much more effectively on Mewtwo than Physical moves.

    Golem:
    Sesmic Toss Rock Blast/Rock Slide
    Explosion
    Dobule-Edge
    Earthquake

    Articuno:
    Powder Snow Aerial Ace
    Blizzard Mind Reader
    Sheer Cold
    Ice Beam

Mind Reader makes Sheer Cold a sure hit. Aerial Ace gains STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) here, a *1.5 damage multiplier, despite being physical.

    Charizard:
    Fire Blast Wing Attack/Aerial Ace
Blast Burn Dragon Dance/Swords Dance/Steel Wing
    Flamethrower
    Heat Wave Earthquake/Return/Rock Slide

    4X OL!! Why?

If your friend effort trains and you do not, that would mean a noticeable difference in the most useful stats of his Pok?mon. If you haven't, you should learn about effort values.

    Steel Wing on Pidgeot?

If your opponent has any Subrevvers use Quick Attack over Steel Wing >_>

Mario's Zap set looks alright, since you cant replace Sub with HP Ice or HP Grass.

My Mewtwo has Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Psychic/Recover, but my mate has Flamethrower over Ice Beam, you could try that, or even try Calm Mind/Recover/Psychic or Ice Beam/Thunderbolt.

For Golem, as Mario suggested, Rock Blast or Rock Slide over Seismic Toss, but make sure it's Rock BLAST if you know they use fragile Subbers, and Rock SLIDE if they don't.

Articunos set is best as Ice Beam/Sheer Cold/Mind Reader/Aerial Ace.. I prefer HP Electric on NB, but yours is a GBA team so.. Aerial Ace will have to do.

For Charizard, I like using Dragon Dance/Earthquake/Aerial Ace (You might have to use Return)/Overheat.

You could try making him a Subpuncher (Substitute/Focus Punch/Flamethrower/Earthquake or Rock Slide or Return).

I was trying to keep to what she might be able to implement without involving long breed chains/restarting the game. Pidgeot's movepool is also rather small, meaning the inaccurate Steel Wing will have to do.

At least Steel Wing may catch the odd rock type by surprise, especially if its weak already and your down on the pokemon you can use.

Mario, it can get Quick Attack back by going to the dude who gives your moves back to you.

Pidgeot's Steel Wing won't be suprising anyone - It's Attack is not high enough, and most Rock types have good defense, so it'll get Rock Blasted away, or Rock Slided.

Come to think of it, he can't really do anything to a Rock pokemon, should he encounter one, without using Steel Wing.

If you choose QA dude, I suggest you replace Golem with Swampert.

Actually teh Pidgeot is meant to be more defensive than say Fearow. It can take a hit ok. Thats why its attack isnt as high as youd expect.

    >_>

Also, your team has a 3x weakness to Electric.

I say just get rid of Pidgeot altogether.

get rid of pidgeot? no way!! it was my 2nd caught pokemon, raised it from lvl 4 to 86, and I didn't waste ice beam tm...articuno already knew it, anyway...I'll try to fix it a little, not sure how though

The edit button is your friend.

Pideot sucks, replace it with aerodatyl, its faster/cooler/stronger

    Metal Mario's Zapdos

    Mewtwo w/ i-beam/t-bolt/recover/phychic

    Use Metal Marios golem

Mind Reader+ Sheer cold= Cool and cheap

    Lolz at zard. eq/rs/dd/f-thrower

I meant the Earthquake TM on Mewtwo. You only get one of those per game, ya know! (Ice Beam can be purchased at the Game Corner.)
If the Pidgeot you're using's the one you caught on Route 1, all the more reason to dump it. (sadly) This is because its effort values will be maxed, but random. You could re-train a much better one. This point is moot if you're not going to effort train, anyway.

Yeah, EQ has been wasted on mewtwo :(
