That is one thing I didnt like about the game.

I mean come on, the first gym leader best pokemon was level nine at best. Seriously, Nine? When you get to azelea town the levels range from 10-14. Oh my, I only liked it because it was new at the time. I enjoyed it too, but come on Bugsy. Your best is a level 14 scyther. I do give it to whitney, her level 20 miltank (finally a challenge) gave me some trouble. I picked cyndaquil, I kept getting knocked out by rollout.

Then you get to Morty, its really nothing special. Just a bunch of ghost pokemon (wich are the gastly family), with spite, curse, lick, night shade....Maybe hypnosis. Levels 20-25 big deal. They were part poison, so my Quilavas dig did them in. I had no trouble with morty.

Next up is chuck, the fighting extrodinaire. This is te first decent challenge. The pokemon levels were at lease 25 I think. Chuck gave my pidgeotto a hard time, I actually lost to chuck underestimating the game. So I trained my pidgeotto into a pidgeot. Then I kicked his ass.

Next is Jasmine of olivine, after I gave her the medicine. I went to her stupid gym. There were no trainers there. Wich is good. She has two magnemites and a Steelix, WOW. She got murdered by my quilava's flame wheel. SHe could have had a magneton, magnemite evolves at level 30.

Pryce of mahogany annoyed me. First his gym is blocked off, then you have to go up to the lake of rage. Souinds scary, but its not. You get to catch a red gyrados. Wich I did do. I hated how team rocket ran my pockets. EVERY time I came through, I didnt even capitalize them because I hate them. Their names dont deserve to be capitalize. Hell the word capitalize in the middle of a sentence deserves to be capitalized more than team rocket.

Okay so then after you talk to Lance ( I hate you BTW). You have to go through Team Rockets hideout. I wont lie it is a wel built hide out. There were the annoying alarms. I think those grunts were androids, they had the same pokemon. But it wasnt that hard. Then there is the Rocket Executives. They were jokes. So after you beat them, you have to faint like three electrode. I cought one ^_^.

Now there is Pryce and his crappy gym. Of ice sliding, oh my god this annoyed me to no end. I went through 2 batteries before getting to him. I guess he wanted to hide himself because he was a god damned pushover.

So you defeat Pryce, then Elm. whines and sobs about team rocket. Attacking the radio tower. Okay so you bash down the radio tower. Then you get a key from the director, to the under ground passage. Then your no-good rival silver appears. That nigga is a pushover. He has a sneasel, dead in a fighting move, due to tis quad weakness to fighting. Wow nice thinking silver. Never have a pokemon with quad weakness. He has magneton, another quad weakness. What a dumbass. Kadabra is nothing special. Haunter easily dies too. His starter, whatever you do dont use your starter, its the weakness to yours.

Ok now you pulverize Silver. Then you fight more rocket pushovers, that your rival could beat with a blind-fold and a lost voice. Think about it if you dont got a voice you cant give commands to your pokemon. Now you flip the switches, whoopie. You save the man, dont forget the amulet coin.

Ok now you go back to the radio tower, card key. Open door. Rocket grunts and exe.'s easily pulverized. The dude with the houndour weezing and houndoom,. Eh hes nothing.

Ok now you go back to mahagony. Head right to the next route. Then you beat the trainers, go to the ice path. I hated this, the ice path was a difficult place to get through. But I was okay, I didnt go through batteries like I did in the gym.

Okay now, Im at clair and her tough as nails dragons....ok. So by this time I had up to level 70 obediance. I traded my level 40 wartortle from yellow. So I could clean this gym out with ice beams and blizzards. You can say I cheated here. But I rather you didnt *wink*. Next up clair wants you to get something, to get your badge. Forget that,I fought the battle of the game, in that time. To get your badge. I beat you thats enough. It finally got a lil tough. Seeing her dragonairs were 38 and kingdrawas forty.

It got a lil challenging when you went to kanto. But this is pokemon in its prime

But thats the johto analyzation. One would think I hate the game, wich in no way is true. I love it, but I can stil have my complaints can I not?

I so wish I could hack, so I could re do the storyline and make you choose if you wanted to be silver or gold. And I would of course choose silver. Silver is hands down the best rival out of all the rivals. I would have loved to play the game in his shoes.

    Eh... please don't swear.

Anyways, the reason why the levels were so low is because of there are two parts to the game. I'm sure Red wasn't a "pushover" or anything because he does require a little more strategy to beat. But I don't really mind the levels because I just like to play G/S/C for fun...

Pikachu is dead in a earthquake, Charizard is dead with a hydro pump, thunder but a rock silde maybe your best friend, Venusaur is dead with Typlosions fire blast or flame thrower, Blastoise, is dead with thunder or thunder bolt. Espeon is dead when houndoom uses crunch. Snorlax is a toughie but since it just keeps taking itself to sleep, I could use dream eater. But mostly I just use some special attacks, hes done in a few turns.

red isnt that hard if your pokemon are in levels 75-80

I have to agree with you about the games being ridiculously easy. And to be honest, Whitney is the only Gymleader that can actually prove to be a challenge, and that's because of Miltank's good stat line and because the player won't have very strong Pokémon at that point (not if you don't have a life, at least, which I don't =P I had a Fearow, Gyarados and Quilava when I battled Bugsy x_x).

Actually... Red doesn't require any kind of strategy -_-
My friend beat him with a team consisting of six clones of his Feraligatr with Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Blizzard and Slash, all practicaly useless moves -_-
And I actually kicked his butt with a level 57 Piloswine with Earthquake, Blizzard, Hyper Beam and Strenght, a scarily bad movesets, I might add.

Red is ridiculously easy even with level 50-60 Pokémon -.-

If anything, falkner is a disgrace to gym leaders. He should have been removed from the game. Then made bugsy the first gym leader. Falkners pokemon dont even make level 10. No nine doesnt count.

Bugsy as a first gym leader wouldnt have been bad. If his kakuna and metapod were butterfree and Beedrill. Throw in heracross or Ariados you'd have a decent first challenge.

And two parts in the game....Whatever. Falkner should have been levels 12-15. Bugsy at 18-21. Whitney, 23-27. Morty at 28-32. Chuck, 33-36. Jasmine, like a skarmory, 2 magnetons and Steelix. 38-42. The team rocket hideout, should have been late 20's early 30's. Pryce should have been, 41-45. Then radio tower, should have been mostly 30-35. With the executives holding early fourties.

    Clair, 44-48..... Elite four, 52-60.

First rival battle- Level 5 under stood

    Second rival battle- 16-20

    Third-29-32

    Fourth- 35-42

    Fifth-42 - 48

    Last- 55-62

Jesus Silver, you're a cool character. But what kind of rival are you???

Kanto is a bit better. But most ranged from 40-50. Your first level 60 battle EVER is the last gym leader.

Miltank has always been a toughie for me. But the game is too easy though. But in my opinion the Kanto gym leaders are harder to beat than the Johto and I'm not saying that because of the levels. If both Johto and Kanto leaders had the same level of Pokemon that Johto will be harder.

I read the first post. My pokemon was evolved before the first gym leader, maybe I train to hard. I don't see what you are talking about.
