incorporating Materia like objects...

    would it be possible to add something similar to the materia system from FFVII using any of the standard programs?


    any help greatly appreciated.
     
    Depends, which game engine? D:
     
    well any i spose, im yet to begin, i just know i want to use that system in some way, either within a pokemon orientated game, or not.


    if you can suggest the best program (or your preferred program) i'd appreciate that too
