Hello, everyone.
Inspired in certain youTube series, such as the True Power Tournament by Silph Spectre, and in the Pokémon Adventures manga (Gold and Silver chapters), I decided to hack Pokémon Crystal, to try to recreate such tournaments.
I should note that this hack is still unfinished. Here is a short video for you to enjoy!

Story
None, really. This hack supposedly happens after the events of Pokémon Crystal (after you become the Champion). The Pokémon League decides to organize a tournament in which the most talented trainers from both Johto and Kanto come together, to find out who's the best.

Story
None, really. This hack supposedly happens after the events of Pokémon Crystal (after you become the Champion). The Pokémon League decides to organize a tournament in which the most talented trainers from both Johto and Kanto come together, to find out who's the best.
Features
- A Double Elimination tournament with 24 participants (16 Gym Leaders, plus 8 Elite trainers).
- For each match in the tournament, the player chooses which trainer to root for. In practice, this means that you choose which trainer to play as.
- Option to skip matches and let the outcome/progression be random.
- Updated move mechanics, power and accuracy to match current generations.
- Fixed known bugs and glitches in Gen. 2.
- Added Fairy type and Physical/Special split.
- Replaced stat experience with EVs.
- Each trainer has up to 4 different possible parties.
Notes (regarding development)
- There is nothing to do in this ROM besides the tournament. It is just a battle simulator.
- Most trainers do not have their teams fully implemented.
- The idea is to replace moves that are likely to be useless with moves from more recent generations (e.g., replace Pound with Hyper Voice).
- The idea is to (possibly) replace unused Pokémon with ones from more recent generations, to increase team variety.
- The idea is to add a special match at the end, with the tournament's Champion vs the Player. The player would start with a PC full of Pokémon to choose from. As you win your bets throughout the tournament, you gain credits that you can exchange for TMs and items to customise your party.

Spoiler:
- The pokecrystal disassembly team, for the base code and tutorials.
- Rangi42 and their Polished Map tool.
- Rangi42 and their Polished Crystal hack, I took two sprites from there.
Changelog
Spoiler:
- 2021-05-08: Updated version of IPS patch. Every character has at least one full team.
