Input Anybody?

I want some input on an idea of mine. See, I've been really thinking about a more shounen-like Pokemon anime. Now, I mean about the same level of rating as the original CN Naruto dub, maybe minus blood and such. Now, that dub was child-safe (in most areas, some were pretty borderline and maybe over) and yet it kept it interesting and conveyed a good story.

Now, I was wondering if I should send a letter to anybody who could help with this idea. Do you think they'd even open a letter like this, or acknowledge it in any way? Also, I'd like to hear input on things that would be good to add in such a letter. (I have not written it yet, and may not if nobody else agrees)

The Pokemon anime is a product made by a Japanese company. There might not even be someone there who speaks English.

Companies do not take fan ideas for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's legal. There is a big business called consulting, where a company will hire an outside firm to come in, observe, and offer ideas, ways to improve whatever they do, etc... It's a huge business. If they used a fan idea, the fan could sue (and probably win) for their "consulting" fee.

Sometimes it's logical. These companies, such as Game Freak, Nintendo, and Creatures Inc (the three companies that hold the rights to Pokemon) pay people salaries with benefits to come up with ideas for them. They probably have more confidence in them than a fan who sends in a letter or petition. Also, the logical answer to point out is if you want a more mature Pokemon media, there are some of the mangas that cater to you. It doesn't get that much more mature or dark or deep or whatever you want to call it, in which case the logical answer is go find a different franchise.

Unlike Naruto, which is a manga series that was later turned into other media including anime, Pokemon is a rated-e-for-everyone video game that was later turned into other media. Thus, the main focus of the franchise is the video game series developed by Game Freak. The various mangas, TCG, and anime of Pokemon are BASED on the video games, not the other way around. So don't expect a Pokemon anime or manga to stray too far from what the games do.

Before someone says "But some of the Pokemon mangas are crude!!111!!!11", the games are sometimes crude too in Japan and are edited out in the translations. Remember the Old Man in Kanto doesn't just need coffee. This is only one of dozens of lines that vanish from the translations simply because what is considered obscene in one culture isn't in another.
