Interesting idea I had for the future of pokemon

If Pokemon keeps going at the rate of adding like 150 more every 2-3 years, it could get to be way too many pokemon

So I had this an idea for a clean slate for Pokemon, maybe around generation 9 after the pokedex reaches about the 1,000 pokemon mark

Gen 9 : Pokemon in space. You start the game and get in a rocket to another planet and start a new life as an alien pokemon master. All the old pokemon simply don't exist there, then they make like another 8 generations of nothing but new pokemon with all the old ones 100% excluded.

"Normal" pokemon would not even exist. That type for these games would be replaced with "Alien" type pokemon.

There would also be new types of pokemon completely, and some old types wouldn't even exist on the new planet.

They could also have alot of unusual typings. Like Grass/Flying and Fire/Water and Electric/Rock would all be for some reason pretty usual things, cause it's some other planet where things aren't normal

Not that they couldn't do that now, but they could make it common to have odd dual type pokemon like that.

From that point on they could go several generations never including the pokemon of old times.

Eventually they could release a game in which the main character returns to Earth (Or whatever exactly the normal fictional world of Pokemon is called) and all the pokemon could all exist in 1 game.

At that point you could have like 1,000 "earth" pokemon and 1,000 alien pokemon united in 1 freakish game.

& In a semi-related comment, I beleive they need to start making it more than 8 badges and elite 4.

They should make it like, 1 gym leader for literally every type. Each gym leader uses a full 6 pokemon, they scale to the level of your highest level pokemon in your party.

The gym leaders would also no longer be a joke, their full 6 pokemon teams would all have held items, they would mix it up with mixed types, have perfect EVs & Natures, and they would actually be challenging. Because as it is right now the games are a joke until you beat them & hop on wifi battles...

It also wouldn't be the elite 4, it'd be the elite 17 + the world champion. 1 for literally every type and a final battle with a trainer that uses all types and is heavily strategized. They too would all have held items perfect EVs & Natures and good move sets.

Since that all sounds a little bit too insane for the kids who play the game, they could make it optional. Like when you start a new save you get to choose if you want normal mode, or Pokemon master mode. Because many of us are actually young adults & dead serious & all strategic about our Pokemon & such. It'd be nice to have a legitimate challenge from the CPUs.

I like the idea though elite 17 is a little too much. Maybe adding some kind of battle tower for that?

I'm honestly not sure if this thread is a joke or not.

I don't think that's a good idea in the slightest. It's too over the top and ridiculous sounding. The whole point of Pokemon is that its a parallel universe to us. As our technology progresses so does theirs. But there is a difference between us going to space and them sending your character to space.

Also, the elite 17? Sounds ridiculous. You wouldn't make it through the first ten without being able to heal.
