    BASICALLY my game has just told me the internal battery has run dry. I was planning to do a starter solo run through pokemon Ruby. Will this affect my game to the point of it being unplayable due to having the clock based events no longer working?

    All I can think of is not being able to get Umbreon or Espeon.

    ahh just found out it affect berry growth (as in they dont grow), the lottery and daily berrie givers and shoal cave tides.... I dont NEED these to complete the game do I? I cant remember as i havent played ruby in a while!.

    No no, gladly the battery is not required to beat the game!
    But the battery can be replaced~

    can it? Can i send it to nintendo? Or no? Cause i really dont wanna DIY it. >_<

    No no, you have to find someone who is willing to do it.
    Over the internet~
    I have actually done it a few times myself. c:
    I would be more than glad to do it for ya, but you know, most people wouldn't send there game to someone the met online. XD;

    It will only affect time based events. If you're doing a starter solo run, it shouldn't be a bother since they don't really rely on the time in the game. Um the only fixes I know is linking the game to the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disc, Pokemon Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen, and maybe Pokemon Box, but don't quote me on that. If you need to know anything else, please use the Q&A thread stickied at the top of this forum. This question has been asked a lot recently, so if you just look around in there and you should find it.
