For me, one of the biggest mysteries in Pokémon is why Kyurem is able to fuse with Reshiram or Zekrom. From what I've seen, this is never really explained in the games, and Kyurem's status as an incomplete dragon really makes me wonder.

What's the relationship between Kyurem and Zekrom/Reshiram? Why are they fusion-compatible? Why isn't Kyurem mentioned in the legends?

They were once one. Kyurem is void (wuji) part of the original dragon who split into yin and yang dragons.
That's why Kyurem is capable of using Reshiram's/Zekrom's DNA to change form.
Because they were once one, Kyurem has DNA compatible with yin and yang.

So...yeah, it has been explained. I understand you were probably trying to get people to speculate, but when they've already been answered...yeah.
So, really, closing this because this won't make really anything further than "yeah it was explained with this", etc etc.

    Closed.
